In this course, users will learn what the International Code Council (ICC) and University of Miami (Florida) are doing to develop new methodologies to properly size plumbing systems, and why their efforts are so important in creating a consensus standard to protect public health and address water scarcity issues worldwide.

To help users understand the needed for proper pipe sizing, they will be taken through a brief history of plumbing, factors driving the need for proper pipe sizing, unintended consequences, current pipe sizing methods, and, finally, the development of the ICC 815 standard.
