Practical Design and Detailing Solutions for Concrete Masonry Foundation and Retaining Walls
While commonly employed for site solutions across a wide array of applications due to their low cost and installation flexibility, concrete masonry basements, retaining walls, and similar structures have their own unique material, design, and detailing considerations beyond similar cast-in-place concrete structures. This seminar reviews the applicable TMS 402/ACI 530/ASCE 5 provisions; provide practical design examples using both allowable strength and strength design; and highlight options and resources available to streamline your next project.
