This publication presents the recommended method for the design and fabrication of curved plywood roof panels spanning between load-bearing supports so that the stresses developed act circumferentially around the curve. Working stresses and other design criteria are given in the Plywood Design Specification (PDS). This recommended design method is based on standard engineering formulas, and was confirmed by tests recorded in APA Laboratory Report No. 77, Plywood Arch Panels. This standard is referenced in the 20012 IBC.
