ICC 903/SRCC 500-2024 Solar Tank Standard

This standard establishes minimum criteria for the design, construction and installation of solar tanks used to store heated fluids within solar heating systems. It addresses topics and features unique to solar tanks that are not addressed in existing standards for storage water heaters, such as integral heat exchangers, outdoor use and unpressurized types. It sets minimum criteria for design, materials and construction, along with test methods to address the health, safety and durability of the tanks used as components in solar thermal heat systems. It is intended for use in conjunction with ICC 901/SRCC 100 for solar thermal collectors and ICC 900/SRCC 300 for solar thermal heating systems.
