This RESNET CONFERENCE training and certification package is now available. Included are: (1) Online, Self-Paced Exam Prep Course, (2) the Residential Energy Inspector/Plans Examiner (79) certification exam, (3) In-person training at the RESNET Conference November 15th starting at 8 a.m.. The In-person training will provide an excellent opportunity to flesh out learnings from the online training, offer Q&A time with a live instructor, and help you do your best on the Certification Exam. The IECC/HERS Compliance Specialist training is based on 2018 International Energy Conservation Code and shall serve as base training for future updated versions of the IECC and amended state-specific versions of the code. The content of this course is focused on the Residential Provisions of the IECC. The objective of this course is to provide a thorough understanding of the IECC code by guiding students through each chapter. Topics include the history and future of energy codes, understanding of the administration and documentation requirements, an overview of the compliance options, and a detailed review of specific thermal envelope and systems provisions. In addition, students will learn about how the IECC relates to existing buildings and solar readiness.
PLUS, this bundle includes the Residential Energy Inspector/Plans Examiner (79) exam that evaluates the candidate's basic knowledge and understanding of the Energy Conservation Code, which includes material, installation, methodology, plans examination, and inspection of energy conservation materials and construction methods and practices as it pertains to residential structure as defined in the IECC. This certification exam will be offered online through our PRONTO, our proctored remote online testing option.
