Implementation of ASCE 7-22 Nonstructural Seismic Requirements for Today`s Complex Buildings (Recording)
Andy Coughlin, P.E., S.E., lives in Bend, Oregon and is the founder and Principal Engineer of Pre Compliance (https://go-pre.com/), an engineering company focused on manufactured products that are required to perform under high seismic and wind loads. Andy has consulted to some of the largest equipment manufacturers in the world and has overseen hundreds of live seismic tests. He has provided project-focused consulting to prominent nuclear, military, embassy, and commercial facilities worldwide. Andy is a licensed professional and structural engineer in a dozen states and graduated from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with a bachelor’s degree and from Penn State University with a master’s degree, both in civil engineering. He serves on multiple ASCE committees including the Seismic Subcommittee of ASCE 7 and is Vice Chair of Task Committee 8 on Seismic Design Requirements for Nonstructural Components.
