This ANSI-approved standard establishes minimum criteria for the design and installation of solar water heating systems in pools and spas. It addresses both residential and commercial applications and has been coordinated with the requirements of ICC’s International Swimming Pool and Spa Code® (ISPSC®) and other relevant ICC/APSP/PHTA standards.
ICC 902/APSP 902/SRCC 400 was released in 2017 as a new standard building on requirements in the ICC 900/SRCC 300 Solar Thermal System standard. It was reaffirmed in 2020 during the update cycle for ICC 901/SRCC 100 and ICC 900/SRCC 300. This standard allows pools and spas to benefit from sustainable heating technologies without sacrificing safety or performance.
