Publication presents the recommended method for the design and fabrication of glued plywood and lumber beams. Working stresses and other design criteria are given in the Plywood Design Specification (PDS). References are also made to the American Forest and Paper Association publication entitled National Design Specification for Wood Construction (NDS). This recommended method is based on data developed by the U.S. Forest Products Laboratory, supplemented with tests by APA – The Engineered Wood Association. This standard is refererence in the 2012 IBC.
