Lateral Design Per New CFS Standards AISI S240 and S400
Cold-formed steel (CFS) construction continues to increase in usage and there are more research findings, references, and resources available today to assist the designer in the design of CFS structures including CFS-NEES, design guides, code provisions, specifications, standards and, of course, computer software. This presentation covers the lateral design provisions from the new AISI S240 and S400 CFS framing standards. These new standards will be adopted by the 2018 IBC and represent the latest consensus thinking for effective and efficient CFS lateral design.
