In an effort to support our membership and the industry, the International Code Council is pleased to announce we are now the provider of the Train the Trainer - Provider by the Rhode Island Board of State Examiners of Plumbers Mandated Continuing Education Program. This Rhode Island Plumbing MCE 1-A & 1-B (3 ½ hour courses each) is designed to provide attendee’s with (7) seven hours of MCE Mandated Continuing Education credit as required by the Licensing of Plumbers, Irrigators and Water System Installers (260-RICR-30-15-9) F. Mandatory Continuing Education (“MCE”) Requirements. This Mandated Continuing Education (MCE) Course Material has been approved by the Rhode Island Board of Examiners of Plumbers. By approval of this course material, the board does not assume any responsibility whatsoever for the accuracy of the contents. This course material is not being published nor is it a publication of the Board. All trademarks and registered trademarks are the property of their respective owners. The session will include the necessary updates and changes within the Plumbing and Gas Code as the Board has outlined.

Objectives
  • Attendees will obtain the Rules and Regulations Promulgated by the Building Code Standards Committee.
  • Will be updated on the requirements of permitting, Inspections and testing as well as some key definitions.
  • Some key provisions found within Chapters 4 addressing minimum plumbing fixtures, Chapter 5 Water Heaters.
  • Address OSHA Challenge Opioid Awareness
  • Attendees will obtain pertinent information with regards to Chapter 6 Water Supply and Distribution.
  • Will be updated to Chapter 7 Sanitary Sewage and Chapter 8 Indirect/Special Waste.
  • Some key provisions found in Chapter 9 Vents, Chapter 10 Traps, Interceptors and Separators as well as Chapter 11 Storm Drainage.
  • Also discussion on Chapters 12 Special Piping and Storage Systems, Chapter 13 Nonpotable Water Systems, Chapter 14 Subsurface Landscape Irrigation Systems.
