This course is designed to help code officials, architects, owners and operators understand how building codes are applied to cannabis facilities. The cannabis market is currently one of the fastest growing industries in the US, and understanding how the handling of cannabis cultivation, processing and sales differs from other industrial processes is key to effective code application. This course introduces different types of facilities and explores select topics from the Building, Fire, Mechanical, Plumbing, Energy, and Electrical codes as they relate to cannabis facilities. Attendees will receive a plan review inspection checklist to assist in code implementation and enforcement.
