In addition to reviewing key concepts necessary for legal aspects of code administration, Participants will be provided more in depth material for effective code administration and enforcement. The following topics will be covered during the seminar: powers and duties of the code official, foreclosure, unsafe structures, overcrowding, hoarding, rental inspections, right of entry and administrative search warrants, liability, using zoning ordinances to obtain compliance, effective techniques for enforcement, and using internet databases for corporate, LLC and real estate records. Participants will be able to apply effective code administration and enforcement techniques to assist them in executing the legal aspects of their job.
