This web seminar addresses design provisions for anchorage to concrete in ACI 318-14. The anchor provisions in ACI 318-14 are virtually identical to those in ACI 318-11, but they have been moved into the body of the code as Chapter 17 (Anchoring to Concrete) and the quality control provisions have been replicated in the new Chapter 26 (Construction Documents and Inspection), in keeping with the reorganized format of the ACI 318-14 code. This web seminar provides an overview of the anchor design provisions in ACI 318-14. Examples are provided to illustrate specific issues. A preview of upcoming anchor-relevant changes in the 2015 IBC and in ASCE 7-16 Chapter 13 is provided as well. A working knowledge of the anchor design provisions of previous editions of ACI 318 is recommended.
