AC470 establishes guidelines for evaluation of Twisted Steel Micro-rebar (TSMR) for plain concrete footings and for plain concrete slabs supported directly on the ground; the assessment of TSMR properties, effects on concrete strength, and TSMR contribution to concrete cracking resistance; and also applies to TSMR used to increase the modulus of rupture for the design of structural plain concrete in applications within the scope of ACI 318; plus assessment of modulus of rupture of concrete with TSMR.
