Participants will apply the critical concepts of the 2021 International Energy Conservation Code. These concepts provide a basis for the correct use of the code in the design, plan review, inspection, and analysis of projects. It will provide a clear understanding and correct use of the requirements identified by these basic code provisions, tables and categorizations. Participants will apply the code in clear-cut situations and build their understanding of the intent of the code when asked to make code compliance decisions. Participants will be to apply the 2021 International Energy Conservation Code to increase the efficient use of energy in the construction of new buildings and alterations to existing buildings.
