2027 International Wildland-Urban Interface Code®
Overlay code that focuses on proper construction requirements and hazard mitigation measures, such as providing defensible space where buildings interface with wildland fire hazards. Supplements building and fire codes in wildland-urban interface areas by requiring hazard-based measures that reduce wildfire exposure risks, protect life and property, limit fire spread, and support fire protection planning.
