2027 International Energy Conservation Code®

The code applies to design and construction of energy-efficient new and existing buildings. Sets minimum standards for energy efficiency requirements for buildings that achieve a reasonable level of energy efficiency, considering lifecycle costs and potential costs and savings for building owners. Requirements contained in the code will include prescriptive and performance-based compliance options. The 2027 IECC® addresses energy efficiency on several fronts including cost, energy usage, use of natural resources and the impact of energy usage on the environment.
