It familiarizes building officials, plans examiners, inspectors and design professionals with the structure of the International Plumbing Code. It assists code users in identifying the specific code concepts and how to better interpret the code. Finally, it focuses on those code concepts that will most impact the code professional on their jobs.

Discuss how plumbing systems that are provided for utilization by and for the general safety and wellbeing of the occupants of a building are intended to be governed by the code
Identify code enforcement issues and key code sections.
Determine appropriate code provisions to apply to plumbing.

Apply the provisions of the IPC to design, installation and inspection phases of construction.
