This seminar will assist participants in transitioning from the 2018 International Fire Code to the 2024 IFC. This course will focus on the major changes and their effects on design, construction, operations and inspection requirements. The course includes revisions occurring in the 2018 IFC and the 2021 IFC, and new hazards addressed in the 2024 IFC which do not appear in the 2021 IFC.

  • Explain the intent and application of the new and revised requirements in the 2024 IFC.
  • Explain the applicability of new or revised design, plan review and inspection requirements in the 2024 IFC.
  • Describe how the most significant administrative changes of the 2024 IFC impact the duties and responsibilities of the code official and how these changes impact the usability of the code.
