This seminar will assist participants in transitioning from the 2021 International Fire Code® (IFC®) to the 2024 IFC. This course will focus on the major changes and their effects on design, construction, operations and inspection requirements.

  • Identify specific code changes that have occurred between the 2021 and 2024 editions of the IFC
  • Identify new chapters in the 2024 IFC
  • Explain the intent and application of the new and revised requirements in the 2024 IFC.
  • Explain the applicability of new or revised design, plan review and inspection requirements in the 2024 IFC.
  • Describe how the most significant administrative changes of the 2024 IFC impact the duties and responsibilities of the code official and how these changes impact the usability of the code.
