This class will assist participants in implementing the transition from the 2021 International Energy Conversation Code® (IECC®) to the 2024 edition. Course materials will focus on the key changes to the residential provisions, reasoning behind the changes, and the impact these changes have on the implementation and enforcement of the energy code. Participants will gain knowledge of new and updated topics including third party inspection agencies, residential performance testing, additional energy efficiency credits, and requirements for the performance compliance paths. In addition, participants will receive a broad overview of the IECC, including its scope and application, to provide context to the topics under discussion.
