This class provides basic code knowledge for proper application of the 2018 IWUIC. Instruction focuses on basic code concepts with a focus on mitigating fire risks to structures and wildland. Some background material is provided covering the history of the IWUIC and its need in areas in which human settlement meets wildland areas. The goal of this seminar is to become acquainted with the IWUIC and apply it to a Community Wildfire Protection Plan for a local jurisdiction.
